Greytown - Guest Fulfilment (Kitchen Team)
Hey — do you care about food and people?
Do you believe great food starts with the way a kitchen feels, not just what leaves the pass?
That’s how we think at The Offering. Our kitchen isn’t about ego, shouting, or cutting corners. It’s about care, teamwork, and pride in what we put on the plate. We follow the 49/51 philosophy, inspired by Danny Meyer — where skills can be taught, but attitude, awareness, and how you show up for others matter most.
This is a fast-paced kitchen, especially during service. Things move quickly, expectations are clear, and everyone needs to stay switched on. The pace matters — but so does how we handle it. We value calm focus, clear communication, and backing each other when the pressure is on.
Working here means being part of a team that has each other’s backs. Prep is done with purpose, service is tight and organised, and everyone plays their part to keep things flowing. It can be demanding at times, but it’s also rewarding, structured, and supportive.
You might be a great fit if you enjoy working at pace, take pride in consistency and quality, and understand that food is part of a bigger guest experience. Experience in a kitchen is essential, but it’s not everything. Being reliable, open to learning, and willing to work as part of a team is a must.
In the role, you’ll be prepping, cooking, plating, and supporting service across our menu, while keeping standards high and the kitchen clean, organised, and moving. You’ll work closely with the wider team to make sure what leaves the kitchen reflects The Offering standard. We’ll train you on our systems, recipes, and service flow, and support you as you grow in confidence and skill.
Right now, we’re open about what this role could look like. It might be part-time, or it could grow into something more — it really depends on the people who apply and what works well between you and us. We care more about finding the right fit than locking into fixed titles or hours.
People join The Offering kitchen because it’s more than just cooking food. It’s a place where effort is noticed, wellbeing matters, learning/growth is encouraged, and teamwork comes first. We want this to be a kitchen you’re proud to be part of.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
